M-set played the Central on the 7th. It was a good show. Let's review what was learned at that show: psycho chicks don't know Eddie Vedder, ever!; Monica, the bartender at the Central, would look good wearing only clear plastic wrap; M-set pumps it regardless of crowd size; Jim Beam has the best in-bar promo's ever (thanks for the shirt), except Pabst.....of course.
Now it's time to replenish precious bodily fluids for the New Years Bash at the Pass at Alpental. No snow tires(?), then see M-set at Tommy's in the U-District on the 4th! Woo-Haw!

Who was that big dork falling asleep at the Mulleady's show? That was me. I was sleepy. Thankfully, the M-setters were not sleepy and they pumped a full load of good times on everyone in attendance. Happy birthday to Michelle, who showed up looking all hot. This weeks show will be their last (public show) until New Years. More on that later. Cheers!
Here is the M-set Joke of the Month for December. Since M-set has soooo many female fans, I thought I'd use a chick-joke:
A man went over to his girlfriend's place for a little bit of nookie. He brought three kinds of condoms and asked her which one he should use - Gold, Silver or Bronze.
"Silver," she said.
"Why not gold?" he replied.
"Because I want you to come second for once!"
P.S. There is a write-up about the M-set boys and their new CD in the latest issue of the Tablet.

The best two shows in M-set history this past weekend. Chicks, Beer, Friends, Jaeger, Great Music. Super kudos to Chris from Pabst Blue Ribbon for fueling the party Friday night with PBR. Also, thanks to Randy and Vicky for the M-set cake (we finished it today). Saturday kudos go to all the (smooch) Knobbers and Steve for throwing a great party and his roommate Jim for giving us 'crash' priorities downstairs. Did I mention how cool the Fighting Machinists are? More thanks to Autumn, Larry and Thomas for helping sell CD's in Portland and making sure everyone had a M-set sticker. Sarah and Jen did a great job selling our new CD "I Lie to Girls" on Friday night. So good in fact, we had to scramble to get more CD's to sell Saturday. Let's do the whole thing again soon.
So we have a show at Mulleady's coming up and it will rock. No cover. How can you not come out and join this?

Putting the finishing touches on a new CD is thirsty work. It's a good thing the M-setters have a show at Mulleady's this Saturday to replenish their precious bodily fluids. Speaking of bodily fluids, did anyone see the Britney Spears-a-thon on MTV this last week? Speaking of Britney Spears, did everyone see that Smooch Knob is on the bill for the CD Release Party at the Sit & Spin?
Speaking of release, did you know the M-set joke of the month is:
A guy goes up to this girl in a bar and says, "Would you like to dance?"
The girl says, "I don't like this song, but even if I did, I wouldn't dance with you."
The guy says, "I'm sorry, you must have misunderstood me, I said 'you look fat in those pants.'" ?

M-set had a sweaty good time at Mulleady's last Saturday and it was nice to see M-set Superfans Matt and Amber there with some friends. That was the final appearance of Graham with the band because Jason's wrist is finally healed. Thanks a lot Graham for stepping up and being the man. Your quasi-hetero energy had us on our toes the 'hole' time.
The night before we played the Central, home of Monica the bartender (zowie). Chris played double duty, filling in for Custom Hustler and did a great job. M-set played a breakout show and really rocked their new songs. I did a great job of holding up the cue cards, again. It was cool to see some of Surreal Sutra and Windowpane there. Rock on!

Q: What's better than a gig with the Sam Adams Beer Girls? A: A gig with the Sam Adams Beer Girls AND the Tommy's Girls! I think we have figured out that with Graham of Custom Hustler sitting in on guitar, when I get up to do GTFO, Everything's Come My Way and Time To Play, there is just too much manliness on stage for Tommy's to handle. Throw in the Tommy's girls doing go-go dancing and there either needs to be some lubricant or a safety net to keep us from killing each other. That said, the stage at our next show, The Central, is much bigger and should provide us with a death-free stage show environment. And then Saturday's show is free french-kiss night (see Scott for details)!

I have read some of the suggestions for "Name the M-set CD" and they are awesome. My suggestion was "3 Chimps and an Orangutan Fist". Keep them coming in and we will post them on the website (and maybe more). Hope to see you all at one of the upcoming shows. Rawk on!

My liver says no, but my mouth says yes. After partying with Graham from Custom Hustler and Shawn from Loser, Saturday night, I can't remember what exactly happened on Friday night. Watching the movie Tommy Boy last night made me feel better, though. Let's just move on to the M-set joke of the month for October:
The manager of a sex toys shop left the shop, leaving his new employee to run it for a little while. After a few minutes a woman walks in.
She asks, "How much for the white dildo?"
He answers, "$35."
She: "How much for the black one?"
He: "$35 for the black one, $35 for the white one."
She: "I think I'll take the black one. I've never had a black one before."
She pays him, and off she goes. A little bit later another woman comes in and asks "How much for the black dildo?"
He: "$35."
She: "How much for the white one?"
He: "$35 for the white one, $35 for the black one."
She: "Hmmm...I think I'll take the white one. I've never had a white one before..."
She pays him, and off she goes. About an hour later a young blonde woman comes in and asks, "How much are your dildos?"
He: "$35 for the white, $35 for the black."
She: "Hmmmmm....how much is that plaid one on the shelf?"
He: "Well, that's a very special dildo...it'll cost you $165."
She thinks for a moment and answers, "I'll take the plaid one, I've never had a plaid one before...."
She pays him, and off she goes.
Finally, the guy's boss returns and asks, "How did you do while I was gone?"
To which the salesman responded, "I did really good, I sold one white dildo, one black dildo, and I sold your thermos for $165!"

What a bizarre show on Saturday. Only two of the three bands actually played. Two of the four members of M-set are now on gimp status. I got drunk for the second time, that day, at the show. It was nice to see some M-set regulars there and some new fans that showed potential. We have added an official CD release party to the list of upcoming shows. I recommend everyone writing that date on their calendar. It will be the first time we play the Sit and Spin. But, we do have shows at Tommy's and the Central before then so: come to a show.
-Yuri B.

We really appreciated the people who came out to the Mulleady's show on Friday. I think that helps us all get our minds off CNN and back to a modicum of normalcy. We were feeling so normal (and Mariner-less) that we went and hung out at the Lakepointe on Monday night where our next show is going to be. Jason hurt himself practicing for his audition for MTV's "Jackass" so there might be a new and exciting twist to the show Saturday (which will kick ass, full on) involving Jason in a cast. I hope to see you there.

The members of M-set wish to convey their sadness regarding the tragedies that occurred on the East Coast on Tuesday. It is our hope that the injured will be healed, and the guilty will be prosecuted.

While we wade through the show offers to pick the best ones for you to attend, here is a our joke of the month for September:
A young couple got married, and in their family, it was tradition that the best man dance with the bride for the first song. Well, this happened... but then they danced for the second song too. And the third. By the time the fourth song came on, the groom ran up and kicked the bride between the legs. A riot broke out, and all the invited guests were hauled off to jail. In court the next week, the judge asked the best man what happened.
''Your honor, we were just dancing, and the groom ran up and kicked the bride between the legs.''
''That must have hurt,'' said the judge.
''No kidding,'' said the best man. ''I broke three of my fingers.''

Thanks to all who showed up at the Lakepointe on Saturday. We had a great time. The band is now going to concentrate on getting its next CD completed. M-set will be busy recording and mixing during the month of September, but keep your eyes on the schedule, you never know when they will add a last minute show. We will be posting the October show dates shortly.

M-set played a private wedding party in North Bend this past weekend and had a nice time. The weather couldn't hold us back and we did a bit o' rockin'. By the way, M-set is available for hire for private parties of any kind. We have our own PA and lights. Contact us if your next party needs that M-set touch. After the party we ate at Denny's. I put that in because I don't want people thinking we're elitist snobs (ha-ha).
This week we have a home 'game' at the Lakepointe in Kenmore. We will be wearing our home uniforms and expect a spirited home town crowd (you-you-you!). I recommend the following cheer: "We've got M-set, yes we do, we've got M-set, how about a shot of Jager!" Just a thought. Rock on!

It was hot this weekend! I like it. We played the Central in Pioneer Square on Friday night and had a great show. We went on first and it was hot in the club but the crowd was vocal. Those who were daring enough to dance had a sweaty good time. M-set Shuffle seemed to rock the house, which is nice. I was going to call it a highlight (I'm not sure that's the right word), but Scott jumping off the stage during a song and 'backin-dat-ass-up' to Graham (not gay) and then his mom was comically disturbing. I had fun hanging out with friends Janette, Debbie, Monique, Sarah, Robin and Jen. It was great to see the Alpental Crew in the house (Mark, Billy, Kurt, Jeff and others). And there was a Dizzy sighting. All in all, it was a great night. Let's do it all again August 25th at the Lakepointe! Cheers.
Joke of the Month:
Two parents take their son on a vacation and go to a nude beach. The father goes for a walk on the beach and the son goes and plays in the water.
The son comes running up to his mom and says..."Mommy, I saw ladies with boobies a lot bigger than yours!"
The mom says..."the bigger they are, the dumber they are."
So he goes back to play. Several minutes later he comes running back and says..."Mommy, I saw men with hoo-hoos a lot bigger than daddy's!"
The mom says..."the bigger they are, the dumber they are."
So he goes back to play. Several minutes later he comes running back and says..."Mommy, I just saw daddy talking to the dumbest lady I ever saw and the more and more he talked, the dumber and dumber he got!"

M-set, back in action! We played the Hurricane Cafe on Friday with our friends Custom Hustler and had a nice time. We all really enjoyed the attractive wait staff employed by the Hurricane. What an interesting place. Saturday night we played a show at the Dubliner in Fremont (and that's a whole story in itself, if you weren't there). We had an after hours party at our house (again) and were delighted at the turnout. It was basically Scott's birthday party and we all sat around and marveled at the M-set figurines that M-set SuperFans Vicky and Barb made. It was really fun to hang out with everyone and I think everybody had a good time. We should be adding some new pictures to the website soon so lookout for that.
Thanks to everyone who supported us.

Just a quick note to let you know we love you. M-set took the weekend off and had a nice little vacation. We are all recharged and ready to take on the 2 upcoming shows this weekend. The highlight of the weekend for me was seeing two of the greatest wake-tube wipeouts in Snake River history, both accomplished by Scott on Friday. The M-set life is getting to be crazy; climb aboard!

I like having a gig every weekend. This last weekend’s show was at the Rain Dancer. We had a great time. It was our first show without the M-set banner and it all worked out ok. We ended up having a some-what spontaneous after hours party back in Shoreline and were pleased so many people showed up. We heard preview copies of the Custom Hustler CD and M-set’s ‘Wuss’. The M-set van was officially christened, which is nice.
We’ve added some new shows to the calendar so check it out. We will be back with 2 appearances in town Seafair weekend. Cheers.

Once upon a time (this last weekend), M-set recorded a
song called Wuss at a real nice studio. They got to do this thanks to Rick
who is going to record more of their songs, real soon. After the nice recording
session, M-set went and saw a friendly band called Custom Hustler. They
all had a good time. The next day, M-set had a show of their own in Everett
at Club Broadway. M-set was treated to a pre- and post-show party at Über-fans
Vicky and Randy’s house. There were flaming bushes and multi-layered
meat things to eat and plenty of beer and wine to drink. There was much
merriment. Back to the show: the show was sparsely attended by M-set standards,
but all in attendance had a good time. (There might have been some people
there who didn’t have a good time, but they didn’t say anything
to me about it and, basically, they can beat sand). We had a lovely exchange
of CDs with Andras Jones and Prozac Staple and were happy to see 6fg do
there thing well (we already had lots of their CDs). It was good to see
some regulars and some new-regulars there. I would mention names, but they
have been getting far too much ‘M-set News’ ink already. Thank
god for Sunday which was spent as a pleasant recovery day that included
a jaunt to pizza mecca: Northlake Tavern. To top off the wonderful weekend,
KMTT 103.7 played our song "20 Seconds" on Sunday night. Be sure
to e-mail them and request it.
And the band lived happily ever after, especially at the Rain Dancer show
coming up on Saturday!

For those of you who were lucky enough to be at the Maritime Brewery party on Sunday, what a great time, eh? That was M-set's first outdoor concert in a long time and we had a blast. For those of you who weren't there, we have some cool shows coming up, so relax, M-set is in the house.
Chris and Eugene ran into Set-heads, Janette, Debbie and Doreen at the Lakepointe on Friday night. That is a good place to run into M-set. We like it there, and we like to party with fans of the band so bring it on.
News on the new CD: The band will be recording a few tracks at a major local studio to go with the other tracks that they have recorded at Buzz Studios in the basement. When it is done, it's going to sound good and you all will buy it.....twice.
M-set joke of the month:
Two elderly gentlemen, who had been without sex for several years, decided they needed to visit a cat-house. When they arrived, the madam took one look at them and decided she wasn't going to waste any of her girls on these two old men. So she used "blow-up" dolls instead. She put the dolls in each man's room and left them to their business. After the two men were finished, they started for home and got to talking.
The first man said, "I think the girl I had was dead. She never moved, talked, or even groaned . . . how was it for you?"
The second man replied, "I think mine was a witch."
The first man asked, "How's that?"
"Well," said the second man, "when I nibbled on her breast, she farted, then flew out the window."

M-set has been battling sickness over the past week or two. It is that fact that makes this past weekend's performances so amazing. Eugene was big-time sick when we played the 6th & Procter in Tacoma but that didn't stop him from attempting to play a guitar solo on a table in the back of the room. Oh, sure, the table flipped and Eug went flying, racking himself, scattered some people, and continued his solo. An all time M-set moment. We got some nice strong drinks from Erik the bartender and met some nice people. Liz should be an M-set fan for life (or maybe not).
I missed the Portland show but I heard the crowd was awesome and the show went really well. Steve gets the kudos to the crash pad and thanks to Myk for playing the part of Yuri B. Considering his talent I better not miss many shows or he will replace me.
Scott wrote a nice article in the latest Rock Paper Scissors about Big Pete. And, special thanks to Debbie and Janette for writing nice things about us that were printed in the Sounding Off section of the paper. We look forward to partying with you at Club Broadway and/or Rain Dancer shows. In fact, we hope to party with ALL of you at ALL of our shows. Cheers!

This was a real roller-coaster of a week for M-set. Scott, Eugene and I got to see unreleased footage of Blazing Saddles on the Fox Family Network Saturday. They basically edited the shit out of the movie and I guess they felt bad because they added a scene that's not on our video copy with some Gabby Johnson frontier gibberish that caused us to flip out of our chairs laughing and roll around on the ground for a while. Also, the latest issue of Rock Paper Scissors came out (the local Seattle rock paper) and M-set was featured on the cover. Read it here. We got a bunch of copies and passed them around to some of the local clubs. Can you beat the $1 beers at Tommy's? I don't think so.
Sunday we stopped by the Lakepointe and told Joolz all our jokes, drank more beer and dropped off some papers. So we were feeling pretty good about ourselves until we heard about the tragic death of soundman "Big" Pete Blasi. He did sound at many M-set shows, most recently at the J & M show a couple of months ago. He was a great guy and will be missed. When we find out about a memorial/benefit show we'll post info on our web site. So tilt a beer for our old friend Pete when you think of it. We will pay tribute to him by rocking harder than ever as he would have liked it. Peace.

The crowd at the Rain Dancer Friday night was pretty kick ass but no chicks flashed me. The M-set boys played at a private party on Thursday night and they got flashed repeatedly, so for some stupid reason I thought we might get some carry-over flashing. Um...no. I enjoyed seeing Radiostar for the first time and copped many cheap hugs from Jen Savage (Radiostar's lead singer). Scott was lucky enough to get cracked on the ass by Ms. Savage, which in his vinyl pants sounded like a 2x4 hitting a beach ball full of ham. But Scott was ok and had a nice time later with the B-ham AAA poster children. Sabrina (Tiffany) and the Garfield Girlz showed up and didn't dance, but she did grab my package before she left. And there was an excellent turn-out by the 5218 Boyz including Biography of a Buzz character voices Kurt and Jeff.
Saturday was a last minute show at Tommy's and that was fun too. Not a lot of Set-Heads there but it was a receptive crowd. Special thanks to Chris from Pabst for forcing beer on us all night, and Andy Savage of 107.7 the End and SeattleSounds for having us on the show. It was nice to see Gina('s cleavage) there and Thomas from Rock Paper Scissors. Graham from Custom Hustler is not gay or bi and I heard one of their songs on KISW last night (nice job). Now it's time to unpack our samurai swords for a fun trip to Tacoma to play at the 6th & Procter on June 29th. Cheers!

I just realized I forgot to drop my pants during the show on Saturday at the Lakepointe. Oh well, I'll do it next time (Fri. June 15th; Rain Dancer). We met some new fans after the show and had a good laugh with them. Has anyone else noticed that Joolz, the bartender at the Lakepointe is a nut? A good nut, though, like a cashew or almond.
We're trying to get some more out of town shows lined up so all you out-of-towners be patient. We're trying.
For the record the official M-set joke of the month is:
A lady walks into a soda shop and orders a chocolate milkshake. The soda-jerk tells her he's sorry but they have run out of chocolate.
She says, "OK, then I'll have some chocolate."
He tells her, "Lady, I'm out of chocolate."
Once again she says, "OK, I'll just have some chocolate."
Exasperated, he says, "Lady, spell VAN as in vanilla." She spells v-a-n.
He says, "Good, now spell STRAW as in strawberry." She spells s-t-r-a-w.
He says, "Good, now spell FUCK as in chocolate."
The lady replies, "There's no fuck in chocolate."
He replies, "Exactly!"
(alternate punch line when you are really hammered: "There's no fuck in Vanilla". It makes no sense and really messes everything up)

We had a last minute addition to our show calendar over the weekend with another show at the 3B in B-ham. Thanks to 'Southpaw' Smoke for having us join their bill. We met a bunch of new people up there and it sounds like we have some new fans. We really love the support we get up there. Now if only Jen and Sarah's roommate Chris would give us a chance...oh, well, you can't please everyone (especially at 2:30am). Thanks to Jen and Sarah for the place to crash (and Jen for going bra-less). I shot the last bit of video for our VH-1 Bands on the Run audition tape up there and edited it up over the weekend. It is pretty funny. We are going to try to get it up on Real Video on the website.
We continue to drink beer at an alarming rate, if by 'alarming' you mean 'just-the-right-amount'. We have another show on Saturday which should be fun. Lots of dancing at the Lakepointe. Until then: bucadebepo.
-Yuri B.

So we played Everett and survived. Club Broadway is an amazing labyrinth of debauchery. We added to the mix by bringing an RV for pre and post show partying. I think we finally pulled out of there at 3:00am. It was fun to see a lot of new faces at the show and some familiar faces made the trip to see what was a pretty good show. I was able to determine that Graham from Custom Hustler is not gay and may only be bi.
Question- why are things more interesting when strippers are around? Answer- just because.
I'm rambling now and that's ok. It was a fun and interesting weekend. We got some good footage for our VH-1 audition tape (thanks for flashing the camera, Andrea) and we look forward to playing again soon (check the calendar). And if you do something interesting, while I am watching, I will write about it in an upcoming news. So, be interesting and do something crazy for me to write about!
-Yuri B.

The show at the Lakepointe Bar & Grill went as I thought it would. Good crowd, lotsa drinking and dancing and good times had by all. I didn't get flashed, so it could have been a better night (unless you count that one time and all I saw was her bra). Custom Hustler again rocked. Once bitten by the Custom Hustler bug and you won't miss a show (unless you catch a glimpse of Heath's great, white ass and then you might not come back). Mad props to Aaron and Kris for bringing a big group, as well as Rex and the Pyramid Alehouse/Alpental Crew for showing up in force.
M-set continues to record a bunch of their new tunes and the early results are sounding good. We get a lot of people asking us when they can get G.T.F.O., Wuss and Sick Girl on CD and the time is coming. So, shut up and hold on a minute! Jeez.
You will notice that we post pictures from shows on the
website. If you have any show pics that you want us to post, send them in
and we will review them. If they are good enough, we'll post them. If they
suck...we'll probably post them also.
Hey all you Northenders, we're coming to Everett. Check your calendars and
we'll see you at Club Broadway. Peace!

I think Bellingham is an Indian word for 'hot chicks live here'. Needless to say we had a good time at the 3B in ol' B-ham. M-set played first and then partied pretty hardy. We brought the video camera to get some footage for our VH-1 Bands on the Run audition tape. Thanks to Matt, Amber, Sara and Jen for their on camera help. Jen promised to write in the guest book, so I guess we'll see that soon, eh?.
Once again we had a fun group of people back at the post show party and once again we didn't get kicked out of the hotel. Amazing. We had one of the worst breakfasts ever at the Horseshoe the next morning and went home and watched the video. It was hilarious and not-hilarious. Thank God for editing.
Next up, the big Cinco de Mayo show, Saturday. Come early, stay late. Party M-set style!
p.s. Have you noticed that the new Schmidt Beer cans resemble Coke cans? We're guessing they're trying to capture the lucrative 'beer that looks like pop so you can drink and drive' market. Interesting (but still pretty lame).

"National Enquirer" style: We played our first all ages show in over a year at Wilson High School in Tacoma over the weekend. Shout out to new Setheads: (names have been changed to protect the innocent) Katie, Megan, Cody, Brandon, Hope and all the T-town Posse. Special what-up to Ashley (wink, wink). All ages shows give us a special feeling we would rather not talk about. After the show the M-set van got van-jacked by a Vietnamese Pho gang. They got about a block before they couldn't stand the smell and bailed out. They took many handfulls of Dr. Drew condoms and the "Flash Scott" sign. We are really looking forward to Bellingham this weekend and all the new shows coming up. The futures so bright, I gotta wear shades!
p.s. Sign the guestbook.

There are some exciting developments in the works for M-set and not the least of them is there are some new show dates added to the calendar. Bellingham and Cinco de Mayo; I can't wait. We all had a great time at the Rain Dancer Friday with old friends (Scotty and Jay) and new friends (Brittney and the Garfield Girls) and all the rest of the Setheads. Many kudos to Matthew Moon and Matt Bruno for their sets well done. The whole band had a planning session on the M-set yacht "Ancient Mariner" last Saturday afternoon before splitting up to see our friends the Fighting Machinists at the Rain Dancer and Custom Hustler at the Central. C.H. kicked ass. Special thanks to Graham and Heath for allowing us to continue our fantasy that we are rock stars. If everything goes well we should have some interesting announcements to make in the near future. Check back often.

Living the rock n' roll lifestyle in not easy, but then again, it's not exactly brain surgery either. The past weekend we got to live the rock n' roll lifestyle with 3 shows in 3 nights.
Thursday's show at the J&M in Pioneer Square was a pleasant affair. It was interesting doing a show high on varnish (they had just re-finished their floors in the back room).
Friday night's show was a short pimp-van drive away, in Portland, and was a lot of fun. As usual the boys from Indigene were a blast to party with and their crossover fan support is greatly appreciated (Debbie, Autumn, Star and friends). It was nice to see The Poet at the show; long time no see; peace, brother. Special thanks to Beth and Steve for a great after hours party and place to crash. I can think of a couple of reasons why we should play in Portland again soon.
Saturday night was the kind of quality musical event that one would normally find in a venue like the Paramount. Custom Hustler and Windowpane are sonic juggernauts that leave it all on the stage for the crowd and kick asses all over the place. What a killer show. Special thanks to Custom Hustler for letting me try to ruin "Give it to Me" with the tambourine and to Heath for showing us more than we ever needed to see. Thanks Set-heads for making it a great show. Thank you Excedrin for making Saturday's show possible. See you in a couple weeks at the Rain Dancer!
-Yuri B.

First of all, did any of you watch the special Crocodile Hunter on Animal Planet Sunday night? That was cool. The show at the Crocodile Cafe on Saturday reminded me of that. Anyway, the M-set show on Friday featured Barbara and Vicki flashing me, a rippin' set from the Set, and a big ol' room full of drunkards. Thanks to Chris from Florida for buying the band a round of shots, which we drank right before playing G.T.F.O. By the way, is G.T.F.O. your favorite song live? It sure seems to get the loudest response. You can comment on the M-set Guestbook. Thanks to LHS for packing them in and rocking the house while we partied. A special thanks to Heath from Custom Hustler for yelling the punch line to my joke (no worries, mate). We hope to see you all this Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Cheers!
-Yuri B.

Once again M-set has learned the benefits of playing the Alpental ski area: 1) A large, wild crowd; 2) Dancing, dancing, dancing; 3) Jaegermeister; 4) Rex's Bloody Marys; and 5) Did I mention a large, wild crowd?
To all you who were there . . . THANKS! It was probably the best show we've ever had up there. Well, other than the part of waking up the next day and loading our gear into the van in the pouring rain. But #4 (above) helped us through that ordeal.
I don't know if we could be having a better time in this band right now. And it's nice to see that our loyal crowd of Setheads are feeling the same way. When we found ourselves faced with a "heavy" touring schedule at the end of this month, all we could say was F*** yeah!
On behalf of all the M's, thanks and kudos to "our people" for making these past months SO MUCH DAMN FUN! Don't miss our upcoming shows!

M-set played it's first ever show in Portland this last weekend. It was a lot of fun. The other bands were good, the people were nice, the drinks were strong. I like to consider my travels on earth as learning experiences, so let's look at what I learned on my trip to Portland: 1) Strip clubs in Portland are way better than ones in Seattle; 2) Don't be in a hurry if you want to have a meal at Marathon Taverna; 3) Liquor Stores close early in Portland; 4) Greg is a huge fan of the band PAWN (now Docile); 5) Pat from Ditty Twisters is married; 6) If I get drunk enough, sleeping on the floor at Myk and Debbie's place is not half bad; 7) Scott and Eugene are money; 8) Jason and Chris are funny; 9) I drive the van good. We can't wait to go back to Portland. See y'all at Alpental!

Howdy Ho once again from the land of M-set. We played the Rain Dancer on Feb. 9th and had another freakishly good time. Kudos to the multitudes of dancers that stuck around until closing. I (Scott) frequently found myself off the stage during our set dancing with y'all (thanks to wireless technology), and even made a few ill fated attempts to break dance on a beer stickied floor.
The chemistry between us bandmates seems only to get stronger and stronger both on stage and off. Jason was a Godsend to us recently, and when combined with Eugene, Chris and I, we are surpassing levels of geekiness that we couldn't have even dreamed of before.
Thanks to our die-hard fans for making what we do so much more fun. To see your smiling faces and dancing bodies at our shows makes what we do worthwhile. We truly play music to bring smiles to the faces of our fans and as evidenced from the last several shows, our efforts are paying off in spades! Peace, y'all!

Been a busy few weeks. Let's see.... Had a great time at the Lakepointe with Custom Hustler and Scream Radio. Big Blast at the 3B in Bellingham - actually got to bed before 5 am in the morning. Thanks to Delbert for doing the show with us. We hope to be in Spokane soon doing a show with them. Also, thanks to KISM, KUGS and the Bellingham Herald for helping support the show. To cap it all off, our show at the "Live Room" was a hoot. We crammed about 30 people into the studio and played our asses off for them and the thousands of listeners on the air. The response has been great and keeps coming in. If you missed it, don't fret because we have it on CD and you can also call or e-mail KCMU to request to hear it again or cuts from the night. (Please do!) Finally, after the radio show we made an appearance at a pre-super bowl party in West Seattle. We jammed for about an hour and then had too much fun with the masses of people there. Once again, please call or e-mail any or all of the radio stations above and request our music. Until next time....

Haven't written for a while..... Hope the holidays were well with everyone. We saw many of you at the Dubliner on New Years Eve. That show was a blast! There was a line outside, the dance floor rocked and the beer flowed. We missed Yuri B. (attending the Rose Bowl) but were thankful for all the fan participation, especially Josie (not her real name) on G.T.F.O. Let's make 2001 the best yet.
